I recently purchased a new computer and want to setup thunderbird to use my att yahoo mail account Please check your connection, disable any ad blockers, or try using a different browser. I went through the automatic process and got an incorrect information message

I tried yahoo's instructions and they don't match what shows up in the account setup in thunderbird (btw wifi is on and the connection for everything else works fine. I am stuck and need some step by step instructions to set this up.

Several days ago tb daily started asking for my att (yahoo) password

Tb initially rejected my password but i did forgot password and added exactly the same password back since it was working on att (yahoo) web mail. I spoke with an att support representative who said yahoo/att has a global mail server problem that began about 4 months ago Att.net is blocking my access to att/yahoo email from my att.net account using firefox '''''''but not using chrome?''''''' i have stopped all tracking and cookie blocking something's gone wrong we may be having trouble with your connection Thunderbird won't login to att yahoo mail (with new suggested settings and oauth2 password) 2 replies 2 have this problem 91 views last reply by szappanos 5 years ago

Thunderbird can be used as a client for an at&t email account Thunderbird will download messages from the at&t server and store them on your local system. I've seen variations of this problem a lot Emails from my att/yahoo account have not downloaded on thunderbird since october

Pop mail server, sever name

Normal password (although a secure mail code is being used and oauth2 would not work). I even explored the new way to log in called currently.com for yahoo mail Still won't work on firefox But it does work on edge

I would prefer to continue using firefox for browser but need to use edge til i figure this out Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
