Is the ninite google legit, or fake I haven't used chocolatey, but ninite is a customizeable installer and updater for a bunch of software and system tools for windows. And is ninite legit, or fake

Edit:thanks for the answers guys So, in the end you can't really trust it but, currently, the chances of ninite betraying you is the same as any of the proprietary software you can download from ninite. I will use ninite from now on because of safety:you never know what site you enter by googling it, but on ninite, you know it all

When you open ninite you are presented with a list of programs to select from With the exception of ccleaner, they are the programs i use to maintain my computer. Ninite automates installation of publicly available software packages that most likely contain.msi files If you are paranoid, download the.msi files yourself (you should be anyways) and then you have version change control.

I wish there was a way i can just 1 click all the above, like ninite.com style

Imaging / cloaning is not an option for several reasons i need not discuss here. So most people know ninite the all in one installer But is there a way i can create a similar installer but with my own software Just because i still need to download other stuff after ninite.

Set up with ninite i decided to reinstall windows on one of my old computers One big pain with this issue is downloading and installing all of your programs You can do it one by one or all at once using a program/service called ninite. Ninite pro is more trusted , stable and msp worthy in my opinion after using both for a good while

I am aware the choc framework is open sourceish and always intended to make a buck but also have community extend functionality

So it will always look different than a actual commercial product. Sourceforge started losing traffic though and their pulled their adware thingy
