With danny devito, rhea perlman, mara wilson, embeth davidtz Home video trailer from sony pictures home entertainment A girl gifted with a keen intellect and psychic powers uses both to get even with her callous family and free her kindly schoolteacher from the tyrannical grip of a sadistic headmistress.
Matilda perfectly captures what it is like to be an intelligent person, trapped in the body of a child, and surrounded by idiots who control far too much of your life. The picture of miss honey's father, magnus, is a portrait of roald dahl, the author of the book matilda, on which the film is based. At school, matilda makes friends but discovers trunchbull's harsh punishments of the students, while matilda's teacher, miss jennifer honey (embeth davidtz), takes a liking to matilda due to her intelligence.
Matilda tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, dares to take a stand to change her story with miraculous results.
I can't help but find this film hugely enjoyable and would recommend it to people of all ages with a good sense of humour!
