If i shut the sim down using the quit to desktop option, i get the are you sure you want to exit.

Check on the forums this last update , had specific instructions on how to best remove / clear install Depending on if you bought the sim from the store or steam Best just to go to the official forums and in the top right search for clean install There are directions on how to do the clean install.
