Since picking up the phoenix bakelite slant i've looked at the material in a new light At first glance, the gillette 3 carts look exactly the same as the mach 3 It always seemed a cheap material, used mostly on budget razors, but it serves the purpose well
While the paa and merkur 45 are obvious modern versions, it seems every producer, gillette, gem, clix, star. I get excellent shaves from my mach 3, and the carts last a good while too (i usually get about 4 or 5 shaves per cart) Simplex and clix were common, neither aggressive
