La historia de una niña maravillosa, que resulta ser un genio, y su maravillosa maestra contra los peores padres de todos los tiempos y el peor director de escuela imaginable.
Matilda ranks right up there with dahl's other children's fantasies like willy wonka and james and the giant peach Kids of all ages will admire matilda's pluck and the hidden powers she possesses. Matilda tells the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination, dares to take a stand to change her story with miraculous results. Matilda perfectly captures what it is like to be an intelligent person, trapped in the body of a child, and surrounded by idiots who control far too much of your life.
The picture of miss honey's father, magnus, is a portrait of roald dahl, the author of the book matilda, on which the film is based.
