Kimber surprised the world back at the 2016 shot show by releasing the excellent k6s revolver It has better sights than the micro 9, front strap treatment, very good trigger and complete reliability. It has put s&w and ruger on their toes which is great for revolver lovers
The k6xs was just released, and it is another awesome offering in their revolver line For anyone pondering a kimber micro 9 and hesitant after reading all the negative forum comments on that platform, there's a very viable alternative in the same weight/size of pistol from sig, the excellent p938 Where does kimber go from here
I've got 3 kimber ultra carry ii's that i've had for about 8 years
They functioned well, the occasional (rare) malfunction, but not enough to cause me too much concern My wife became interested in shooting (girls with guns) and so i bought her two kimber ultra carry's on the same day One is the amethyst, the other is sapphire. Welcome to the forum from washington
If you create an account you'll be able follow the weapon though the process I've put nearly 3000 rounds through my 2k11 stainless target 9mm and had no issues Kimber will listen carefully describe the issue and they'll get to the solution Keep us informed about the progress.
Kimber would be far better advised to delete barrel fluting, and focus on accuracy areas
Barrel hood length and width fit to slide, bottom lug fit to slide stop, and muzzle area fit of barrel to slide Slide to frame fit is okay, but not great Chamber throat areas should be considered as well Most 9mm's benefit from a throating reamer.
If you did not know yet Kimber finally has the kds9c optic plate available I ordered mine last night Just a public service announcement for everyone
Both of us using a kimber plate
I did have a different plate, mine with the suppressor height rear sights but was kimber For me it feels like the eps is the perfect match for the cds9.
