Redfield introduced the first true widefield in 1970, by widening the lens horizontally In years past redfield also offered a 2.5x widefield, and that is the model that is the subject of this review. The redfield low profile widefield lets you see more, get on your target quickly, and stay on it
Redfield also devised the excellent dovetail mount and ring system later copied by both leupold and burris. At present the widefield line includes three models Redfield had introduced the widefield premium line of rifle scopes in 1970 that had the wide horizontal eyepiece that increased the field of view by about 25%

You will receive a scope meeting the grade that you choose If we are currently out of stock for the grade you are shopping for please join our waitlist by selecting the appropriate grade from the dropdown and entering your email address. Redfield scopes have been produced for almost 100 years and were started in colorado
They were a leading provider of scopes for hunting and leisure activities for quite awhile and were one of the most popular brands available. In the mid 30's they produced the junior mount In the 50's they came out with horixzontal split rings, and the dulite alloy rings, all based on the junior mount system.
