Since i was like 5 years old i wanted to work in a lego store and now i'm finally able to apply but before i do i'm curious what the benefits and draw backs are to working there Imho the minifigure factory should be in every lego store Do you get any employee bonuses or discounts
New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. There's one in new york city too but most are in california or florida which is just.why Here in new zealand, we’ve had lego since the 70’s, but only got our first dedicated store in the last three years
Former lego store employee here
Managers and assistant managers are given some freedom to make exceptions to the return policy Generally, opened sets aren’t eligible (from what i can remember It’s been a couple years since i worked there), but at the manager’s discretion they can decide to take a return or exchange. Visit any lego store, and ask a staff member for a lego passport
They will give you one, and ask if you want it stamped Say yes, but ask for all the stamps available Every month, a new stamp is released As of this post in november 2023, a red candy cane is the latest
Then visit the others in your country.
Because lego retail focuses on customer experience through staff and interactivity to make the shops a desirable place to buy from Keeping prices at rrp also creates a premium pricing experience that means they don’t have to race to the bottom Meanwhile, they get the benefits of the distributed sets profits. For christmas my mom got me the lego orchid and she was so excited about it
So i didn’t have the heart to tell her that i already have that set What’s the easiest way to exchange it for another set without the receipt I love minifigs and have a lot of questions about building minifigs in stores The first store (pittsburg, pa) had a display with several bins with various parts that you could assemble as you wanted.
As a lowly lego fanatic, all i want to do is to look into seeing if it's possible in requesting that a retail (or corporate) store in a new city location
Not all lego stores have a minifigure factory which is honestly really unfortunate because not everyone lives in florida or california where most of these machines are
