Both satan and/or his own humanness obviously “flew the bird of the temptation” over his head Lord, i invite you into my heart, my mind, and my eyes in this area of struggle. However, according to the hebrews passage mentioned above, jesus never allowed that bird “to nest in his hair”
Some imagine that mary magdalene was a prostitute who tempted jesus to have a sexual relationship with her. Next time you are tempted to look at someone with lust, ask jesus what he thinks of that person, pray for them, and then praise god for the beauty of his satisfying presence If christ was tempted “in every way” as we are, does this include sexually
Actually, it is quite reasonable to conclude that jesus was tempted sexually as are other people
Those temptations, however, unlike every other person, did not originate from within. Claims against jesus some imagine that mary magdalene was a prostitute who tempted jesus to have a sexual relationship with her. Christian churches and theologians traditionally hold that jesus never married and remained celibate until his death However, this has not prevented alternative and fringe theories of his sexuality, as the gospels and the rest of the new testament do not focus on the subject.
Jesus never experienced internal temptation to sin, whether sexual or otherwise That type of temptation is talked about in james 1 James says it originates from our sinful desires, and we know that jesus is sinless and therefore never had sinful desires or thoughts or feelings. To claim otherwise is to render his incarnation incomplete
Scripture tells us he was “tempted in every way, just as we are—yet without sin” (hebrews 4:15)
Temptation is meaningless without sensation The divine restraint of jesus was not robotic And that will was rooted not in contempt for the body, but in its holy purpose.
