Tsn only has rights to regional nhl games involving canadian teams Sportsnet alone shows all nhl playoff games for all teams. Sportsnet has both national rights and regional rights to nhl games, including the playoff games
Their sportsnet now service has two plans Sportsnet and tsn split coverage of all raptors and leafs regular season games, and all nba playoff games for all teams The regular plan allows for streaming of national games as well as games in your market
Can anyone explain what the difference is here
I subscribe to tsn, and now see there's a tsn+ And tsn+ will have extra streams, content, espn documentaries and game replays? Tsn is better but sportsnet is improving, especially over the last few years I'm glad they listened to the fans before and brought back ron instead of forcing george on us
It's also good that tsn can still do some regional games as i was under the impression all nhl games broadcasted in canada would be through sportsnet when the initial deal happened. I honestly miss the days of being able to watch nhl on both channels Sportsnet had the local teams exclusives and tsn had the national broadcasts, outside of hnic. Tsn seemed to have a lock on international football, but i'll have to keep an eye on who gets the rights next summer
For la liga, i really only watch barcelona matches, and looking at the tsn+ schedule on their website, it looks like at least the first barcelona match will be on tsn+.
I just signed up for a month of tsn and have been clicking around in the app, and i don't see any option to watch any live games at all. Also sportsnet literally sells a standalone streaming package that advertises access to all out of market games for the other canadian teams (basically rebranded nhl.live), so let's not pretend like it's beyond the wit of the network or what the nhl contractually allows them. I’ve tried talking to tsn about this through twitterx, email, and two phones calls but they don’t seem to really understand what i’m asking….and their answers are so vague Is there any way of watching nhl games from here with tsn direct?
Tsn's regional winnipeg jets games will be available on tsn3, tsn.ca, and the tsn app to tsn and tsn direct subscribers in the jets' designated broadcast region as defined by the nhl, which includes manitoba, saskatchewan, nunavut, the northwest territories, and parts of northwestern ontario, including kenora, dryden, and thunder bay. You'll need both sportsnet and tsn for what you're asking for
