But their warranty is worthless, their customer service even worse, and their product shameful at best Fj 60 axles, rear steer $5900 crate motor ticking and making valve train noises

Im looking at atk, golen and titan im not looking an hesco due to the cost I was kinda hoping people that. I've rebuilt about 5 6l80 transmissions now with a lot of help from ben who goes by ctchevy here on pirate Since this transmission is gaining popularity, i figured i would share what i have learned about how to take these transmissions apart and how to rebuild them with stock or aftermarket.

Reverse cut gears in a front diff will be driven on the drive side when going forward which is a stronger setup So standard cut gears are stronger in the rear and reverse cut are stronger in the front The only reasons that they use standard. I found a couple threads about remanufactured engines and 1 or 2 about transmissions, but nothing that really holds any clout

Here's what i'm dealing with

My daily driver of about 5 years is on it's trans' last leg I will call jasper or atk and see what the shipping weight is on a 3.4 if i don't save at least 100lbs i am going to stick with the smallblock chevy 3.4 toy motor and toy driveline
