Yeah, billy (and stu) were both great, because they actually manage to capture that uneasy feeling you get around people that are unhinged Well, you're forgetting one thing about billy loomis Something about billy or stu (and especially billy and stu together) on the screen just immediately creates a sense of discomfort.

Well, billy and stu created ghostface

But, from a narrative standpoint 95% of your audience thinks scream is a better movie than scream 3, and 95% also think billy loomis is a better character than roman bridger Honestly, a huge percent of the audience, upon hearing the name “roman bridger,” would probably say “who?” Billy loomis was a good person deep down

Billy loomis in scream (1996) was named after dr loomis from halloween (1978) and in scream (2022) sam’s last name is carpenter as a reference to john carpenter. I get that billy loomis was the first ghostface, but roman was the true driving force of the original trilogy, or at least the 1st and 3rd movies 4 and 5 draw their inspiration from billy, but it was roman who inspired billy to begin with.

My headcannon is that stu was in love with billy and easily influenced and that's why he went along with billy's plan Billy probably picked up the vibes on this and used it to manipulate stu to his advantage. Billy is personally my favourite There's just a viciousness about him that feels unpredictable and dangerous

I'm also always a fan of characters that feel like they're a volcano waiting to erupt.
